Squirm: The Night of the Crawling Killers
Worms are gross. How’s that for an opening sentence? The premise of Squirm is a simple one- earthworms are called to the surface after power lines fall and send volts of electricity through the ground. But these worms just happen to be flesh-eating and come up by the thousands. The people in this small town become engulfed by the nasty, slimy creatures and are struggling to fight them off to stay alive. While it’s a bit cheesy and way over the top, seeing worms pour out of a shower head and crawl all over someone’s face, makes us do exactly what the title says, squirm. So get your friends together, whip up these recipes and check out this strange little flick from the ’70s.
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup club soda
2 Tbsp chocolate syrup
Pour milk and soda into glass. Stir until foamy on top. Add syrup. Stir gently so that foam stays at top. Garnish with gummy worms. Makes 1 serving.
2 hotdog buns
ketchup, mustard, relish, pepperoncinis and celery salt to taste
Cut hotdogs lengthwise twice, creating 4 thinly sliced hotdogs for each. Boil water and add hotdogs for 3-4 minutes and you’ll see the hotdogs starting to curl. Remove from water when they are curled into worm shape and place them onto the buns or put them in a small pail to make them extra gross. Add condiments of your liking. We made ours Chicago-style.
You gonna be the worm face!
